Plating a shock absorber

Can anyone tell me it they have had a shock absorber chrome or zinc plated assembled (spring off)
As I need to get the lc one plated

No idea here Andy, I’m guessing the platers would know but it’s worth checking elsewhere first as they are not all mechanics! From your frame pic I can see it’s a monoshock. What parts would you chrome plate, there’s not that many on it is there?

You just need to be sure that the processing would not have any impact on the properties of the steel in the spring.
