November 25, 2012 at 11:34 pm #64180HippoDronesParticipantWent to the show today. Those of you going should not be disappointed, had a cracking time and is well worth the admission fee (although parking is a little excessive even with the £2 back that Motorcycle Live are offering.
There are deals to be had if you fancy a haggle and new bikes aplenty including a rather yummy green thing with my name on it!
November 26, 2012 at 11:04 am #64181HippoDronesParticipantHere are the pics I took:
40th anniversary Z1000; a true engineers bike, love the way they have hidden the radiator under the rear subframe, poss could do with a bigger hugger to protect it tho.
the grill is an air scoop that feeds to the radiatorThe new 675R is lovely
As is the new Street Triple R, although am not so keen on the red/black:
Ummmm….. NO NO NO NO NO! lol
Some very serious carbon bling
A lovely lil 3 wheeler
I totally loved this, very nicely done it was
My new steed:
Ok maybe not quite, it does make me wonder if any of my friends will ever in our lifetime get into space tho, what a truly remarkable era we are currently living in, the Jetsons are not as far into the future as you might think!
This is my new steed, and my main reason for heading to the show:
It looks lovely in the flesh and felt like it fitted me when I sat on one which is good. The tank is quite wide compared to the Ducati Streetfighter and my Guzzi V7, I hope it is as lovely to ride as it looks…..
ok I hope it is lovelier to ride than the zorst looks…. YUK must get shot of that as soon as I have some funds to do so!
And a vid of my mate Matt showing the MX boys how its done…. NOT (wimp, I’d have had a go! lol )
November 26, 2012 at 12:02 pm #64182imperialdataKeymasterCool pics Pete. That radiator on the Z1000 is discreet but I wonder how well it’ll cool things down being back there. As you say, the hugger really has to stop all the stones unless there’s protection on the underside of it. That said, it’s nice to see a good retro look with attention to detail like that.
One thing has been bothering me about your new bike though and I think I know what it is now…..
November 26, 2012 at 1:13 pm #64183HippoDronesParticipantlol, I thought it was a bit Predator like!
November 26, 2012 at 2:15 pm #64184imperialdataKeymasterThat Predator’s a fine example of cooling that isn’t discreet
November 26, 2012 at 6:42 pm #64185HippoDronesParticipanthahahaha
November 26, 2012 at 6:43 pm #64186HippoDronesParticipantkinda like the old hoover tubes on the tank of the ZX400R!
