trouble is, most of the places round here only fit to loose wheels and I don’t think I’ll be able to remove them from the Guzzi without getting new stands.

Just a thought, but how much would the dealer that supplied the Guzzi charge for a pair of tyres fitted?

they nearly an hour away, also they would charge dealer hourly rate for labour which iirc is around £60/hr.

The V7 rear wheel is notoriously difficult to remove, especially without a stand to raise the rear that fits the shaft drive

Just a thought, our local (Yamaha) main dealer has been doing some surprisingly good deals recently

may ask them, but my experience with dealerships is their deals on tyres are far from it… at least down south anyhows

Generally very true, but you never know and then when you factor in the price of a specialist stand you only need when you swap a tyre out…

How many miles on the Guzzi now?

Have followed your advice, getting InMoto to fit a rear when it is in for its yearly service (slightly over mileage oops)

It has 5500ish miles on it now, no way near as many miles as I used to ride on my Speedtriple (18,000miles in 2yrs and had a broken back for 3.5months of that), I hope to get back into riding when the opertunities arrive more often. The roads are not as nice where I live as they were in Scotland and Cornwall tho and seem to have gone out of sync with my local biking buddies as our lives involve other distractions more and more. We used to ride almost every eve back in 2006 and when I was able to ride after breaking my back I was out all the time then too.

Am not trying the Pilot Activ tyres now, they will have to wait till next year. Sticking with the OE tyres till the front is worn out.
