KTMs new RC8 concept looks to muscle in on the superbike market. It is a sharpely styled bike with a 990cc Superduke based engine. The looks are fantastic and raw and seems to be targetted at Dukes, Millies and Buells rather than the Japanese litre sportsbikes such as the R1 etc. To my taste they have got the style spot on and it looks set to put the cat amongst the pidgeons well truly. The market could do with a new serious contender if only to break up yhe lines of identikit Jap and Italian superbikes that lline up at all our regular biking haunts.
