As often as I can in the warmer months I commute to work on my Thundercat and generally there are just a couple of other bikes in the car-park. The number has slowly increased recently and reached a peak today between the 2 shifts there were 11 bikes on site! A CCM, a KTM, 2xFazers, 2xGSXR600, a Dragstar, an Italjet, my Thundercat and another scooter. I think that the increase in fuel is encouraging more people to use their bikes for commuting.
Bang it up to £10 a gallon and we’ll all be on pushbikes!
Seriously though, if it gets more motorbikes and pushbikes out then it’s one of the few positive things to come from a fuel price hike (besides the obvious environmental benefits!). Don’t get me wrong, I think that the price is currently out of control and quite extortionate. Any US members like to tell us how much the fuel is costing over there at the moment?
