Try removing a spark plug and put it back in the HT lead. Using insulated pliers (or wood etc) hold the plug to the body of the engine so it has metal-to-metal contact. Now crank over the engine on the starter. If you see a nice fat spark then you have ignition, ie electrics are OK. Repeat for the other plug(s).
No spark = electrical fault.
