yes. the engine is honda .
basically about 10 years back foreign companies could not sell their products directly in indian markets. so Honda and Hero did a deal, so that Hero could sell bikes with Honda engineering. Its marketed as Hero Honda, manufactured in India … but the engineering is all Honda.
The contract between the two companies has ended this year, and we are expecting Honda bikes now in the market. However, the latest news about the bikes is a bit depressing. Seems that Honda wants to come with 150 bikes this year, while we were waiting with bated breth for 250cc or more.
