After the “success” of the beach racing superdream (too much power to handle), a few bits got sold on to a mate off her, so it was “what to do with it now”
A GSX 250 front wheel goes straight in (ok – you have to bin the speedo drive but no-one uses em anyway, and a pushbike one will look far better), lines up with the honda caliper and everything – worth remembering if anyone wants to get rid of the honda “mag” wheels. A GSX 400 rear wheel is needed however, as the spindle sizes are different on the 250, but newark should turn one up, or something else that will do. Set of drag bars on the front, with rewired switchgear on the left hand side (lights now work off indicator switch as they wont be fitted, and the electric boot operates off the headlight flash button. The grinder came out, and the rear end got the chop – just looking for a single seat, and a nice round tank to fit on – again newark will turn something up!
Then, going to put in something like a 250 or 350 single in it, whatever comes up cheap, off to the friendly MOT place and cheap summer fun!!!
And – this one is gloss black for a change…
Nother tip, if your cleaning up aluminium forks etc, 30% hydrochloric acid brings em up a treat – just dont leave them in more than five minutes!

Keep it lit
