Think I encountered PC I’m-bored-lets-nick-someone Plod, last Thursday night. I was coming down the road slowing to stop at a mini roundabout and a traffic patrol car crossed the island in front of me. I crossed to go straight on, noticing, as I looked left that he had pulled up not far after the roundabout. So I carry on up the road and I noticed headlight pacing me 200 metres behind. I was behaving myself doing 34 or thereabouts. Wondered if the police car had turn around to follow me. Still not sure. Headlights then pull up to close behind me for 300 metres and the car overtook me after I pulled out onto a main road. And surprise, surprise it was the police car. Suspected he was trying to catch me out as he would have got to the same place if he continued along his original route.
I’ve heard it rumoured that police cars have tailgated people in the past to get them to speed up so they can nick them.
I have heard that they play “snooker” too. Pull a red car, then a colour, then another red one and so on. Probably an urban myth. Buy a silver car that would fox them!

Nope not myth, dunno if they still do it, but a young girl I used to know from Sheffield had a spell on traffic when she moved to W.Mids police, she told me that one too.
I bet they get bored sitting around all day, god bless our hard working boys in ‘blue’ (they wear black and white for flip sake!) anyway, anyone detect the sarcasm yet?
They must be too busy to play traffic cop games, what with all the illigal immigrants, uninsured/untaxed cars on the roads, drivers on mobile phones, muggers, burglars, rapists, fraudsters… etc.. etc… surely they havent got time to make some easy money out of minor road offences??????
